The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario located in Smiths Falls is an excellent place to explore and learn how Canadians travelled around the country by railway. Housed in the historic Canadian Northern Railway Station built in 1912, the museum displays a variety of interesting railway artifacts covering more than a century of history.
The 11 acre site features many unique trains including a steam locomotive, a diesel locomotive, cabooses, a snowplow, and the last remaining Dental Car in North America. This heritage experience is why we are considered the premier hands-on railway museum. We offer many special events and tours for the whole family.
