Brockville’s Rails to Trails Festival Fundraiser

On April 27, 2017, Rails to Trails Festival organizers are hosting a carnival themed fundraising event in support of the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau and the opening ceremonies of the restoration of Canada’s First Railway Tunnel.

“Soirée Lune Bleue” will take place at the Aquatarium, 6 Broad Street in Brockville from 6:00 pm- 10:00 pm. This very special event is sure to delight everyone with its all-senses escape to another time and place, inspired by the magic and mysticism of the early travelling carnival.

The evening will feature a three-course dinner inspired by the London Trocadero, circa 1909, prepared with care by Chef Moishe Smith of the Tall Ships Waterfront Grille; a fun filled, high energy Live Auction; a Volunteer Awards Ceremony honouring outstanding volunteers, and a few surprises.

Tickets for the event are $150 each and include two tickets to ride North American’s oldest fully functional Ferris Wheel built by Eli Bridge in 1917 and the 1938 Allen Herschell carousel, complete with hand-carved wooden horses at Brockville’s Rails to Trails Festival, a delectable three-course dinner paired with select wines from Peller Estates of Niagara-On-The-Lake, a $100 charitable tax receipt topped off with a unique and unforgettable experience.

Ticket are available online at Soirée Lune Bleue or, in person at the Investors Group, 2539 Parkedale Ave, the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence Rideau, 105 Strowger Blvd and Brockville’s Tunnel Committee’s Information Centre, 66 King Street West.

Together, we will raise awareness of the vital role individual Volunteers play in our community and learn how the Volunteer Centre takes the lead in supporting these selfless people and the community it serves.
