Don’t miss out on a 1000 Islands Cruise

The forested shorelines and broad waterways of the 1000 Islands in South Eastern Ontario stretch from Kingston to Brockville and bear no hint of a darker past of pirates and prohibition bootleggers. Now dotted with peaceful waterfront villages just waiting to be discovered on a scenic 1000 Islands cruise, this area is all sailboats and lighthouses. Staying at a riverside hotel puts you steps from the dock for a romantic dinner cruise, or you can push off from Kingston, Brockville, Rockport and Gananoque for a full 1000 Islands cruise including romantic Boldt Castle.

Any 1000 Islands cruise mixes stories of larger-than-life characters with lavish homes of the rich and famous. History here is as much below as above the waves, with crystal clear waters and an abundance of shipwrecks, the 1000 Islands also offers a lost ships tour. Wrecks of old ships that met a watery end now make for some of this areas greatest folklore.
