Signal Brewery
Relax and take a moment to experience beer, made with love, thought and passion. These brewers aren’t afraid to experiment, and regularly release specialty brews for those looking for something new and different.

Wildcard Brewery
All those interested in the craft of beer are welcome to tag along on a quick tour and see how it’s made. Reservations would just be complicated and unnecessary. Come one, come all and come thirsty.

Bring your camera to Sager Conservation Area this fall

A short, steep hike to a lookout tower here reveals rewarding views of the countryside in Bay of Quinte region and changing treetops surrounding Sager Conservation Area and even part of the Trent Valley. About a 15 minute hike to the tower and using a well crafted staircase allows visitors to reach the top of a look out that spans for miles and learn by reading information boards. Make a day of it and enjoy fall by packing a lunch and eating el fresco –  there’s a picnic shelter on site. Don’t forget you camera and binoculars!

The Bay of Quinte is home to some of the finest golf destinations in South/Eastern Ontario. Here are some of the most picturesque golf courses in this area.

Black Bear Ridge Golf Course – Belleville, ON
Sweeping vistas, all-natural water features and five sets of tees combine to make BBR a memorable championship course. One of the top 30 courses in Canada, Black Bear boasts all the facilities to keep you comfortable and your game on track.

Timber Ridge Golf & Country Club – Brighton, ON
Reminiscent of the Scottish Heather Lands, Timber Ridge’s holes meander through mature bush and wide open spaces. Large greens are peppered with 80 well-placed bunkers to keep you on your toes with each shot.

Bay of Quinte Golf & Country Club – Belleville, ON
Modelled after the country clubs of Europe, BQGCC’s first 9 were designed by Howard Watson in 1921, with the second 9 dreamed up by Robbie Robinson in the 1950s. Fully renovated in 2010 with a focus on new challenges, it’s a course not to be missed.

Trillium Wood Golf Club – Belleville, ON
Fitting in seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, TWGC is dotted with mature trees on over 200 acres of scenic woodlands. Trillium Wood also boasts one of the region’s premier driving ranges and separate teaching and practice areas.

Barcovan Golf Club – Brighten, ON
Situated on 150 acres of treed woodland this manicured course features fast but true greens and a challenging design utilizing water on more than ten holes. There are 4 sets of tees to choose from, which makes Barcovan the perfect choice for players of all abilities.

Celebrate fall by immersing in nature at the Batawa Trails

What’s popular as a skill hill in the winter months is also a perfect place to explore during autumn! Batawa’s 22-km of non-motorized trails make visitors fall in love with fall. Spend quality time outdoors going for a run, hike or bike in the Bay of Quinte region, surrounded by beautiful forests at the Batawa Trails. Download a trail map, lace up and discover why it’s dubbed the small hill with a big heart. Make the most of the autumn and get outside to appreciate nature!

Gone Fishin’

Walleye or pickerel fishing is serious business on the Bay of Quinte. This area is known as the walleye capital of the world, meaning this is the spot for some amazing trophy fishing. Professional guides know where the fish are biting and can teach you the basics, while boat charters offer group excursions to favourite spots. Be sure to visit one of the local bait and tackle shops to get fully kitted out with a reel, live bait and maybe even a few helpful hints for your pickerel fishing tour. This is also cottage country and rentals can be found throughout the area’s bays and rivers.
