Sarah Harmer was born in Burlington, Ontario. She credits its forests and fields with her development as a songwriter and singer. As a teenager she sang with country rockers The Saddletramps and went on to form the rock band Weeping Tile while going to university in Kingston. Weeping Tile released three albums and toured widely in Canada and the U.S.
Sarah recorded her first solo album ‘You Were Here’ in 2000. Her debut was lovingly received and led to extensive touring. Over the next three album releases she received and Polaris and Juno nominations, and two Juno awards for All Of Our Names (2004) album and Escarpment Blues (2006) tour documentary.
Sarah is currently writing songs for a new album and performing a few shows in Canada with her band – this is a rare opportunity to see her live at the beautiful St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage!
